\"\"<\/a>Year 6 have recently returned from the Dominican Republic; having spent five fantastic days there on their residential trip.\u00a0 The mountainous area of Jarabacoa provided the backdrop to a fun-filled week of exhilaration and adventure.\u00a0 Rather than me tell you all about it, I thought that you would rather hear from the Year 6 students directly.\u00a0 So, please read the quotations below to get a better sense of the exciting times that were had by all.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cI loved the setting.\u00a0 Rancho Baiguate was surrounded by beautiful mountains; and a serene river flowed right beside us too!\u201d\u00a0 EW<\/p>\n

\u201cI personally liked the water rafting the best because of the drops.\u00a0 You knew you wouldn\u2019t fall out because the instructors were fantastic at steering the raft and keeping you safe.\u201d\u00a0 JB<\/p>\n

\u201cMy highlight of the trip was on the last night when we sat around a beautiful camp fire and spoke about our favorite moments from the week.\u00a0 It was lovely to hear the thoughts of others.\u201d\u00a0 DN<\/p>\n

\u201cMy highlight of the trip was fishing; and being the only member of our class to catch one.\u201d\u00a0 MZJ<\/p>\n

\u201cThe landscape was gorgeous; the rolling hills made my eyes water.\u00a0 I will always remember this as we pulled up to Rancho Baiguate for the first time.\u201d\u00a0 AF<\/p>\n

\u201cMy best experience was the ropes course because of the challenging obstacles.\u00a0 After I had finished, I got to watch my friends and encourage those who weren\u2019t feeling confident about it.\u201d\u00a0 HW<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, water rafting was the best activity.\u00a0 Crashing down the mini waterfalls was a great experience.\u00a0 The guides made the experience even better with their playful nature.\u201d\u00a0 HH<\/p>\n

\u201cI found the trip to the DR really enjoyable because it was a unique experience; a nice time away with friends; and every second there was an opportunity to try something new.\u201d\u00a0 CS<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are amazing things to do at the ranch; and the food was delicious too.\u00a0 It was great to try some new dishes!\u201d\u00a0 AP<\/p>\n

\u201cMy highlight was the ropes course.\u00a0 I was a little bit nervous before doing it, but I\u2019m glad I tried it, it was exciting moving through all of the different parts.\u201d\u00a0 MT<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2019Brilliant activities which demand lots of teamwork.\u00a0 The perfect place to spend your time alongside your friends.\u201d\u00a0 JG<\/p>\n

\u201cI loved visiting the Jurassic Park waterfall.\u00a0 The cold water below was just what we needed after a long hike.\u201d\u00a0 DW<\/p>\n

\u201cI loved the thrill and experience of the water rafting.\u00a0 I wish I could go back and do it all over again.\u201d\u00a0 AD<\/p>\n

\u201cI loved the ropes course.\u00a0 It was fun and really high!\u201d\u00a0 LT<\/p>\n

\u201cMy top moment was the horseback riding.\u00a0 It feels like you might fall off when moving downhill, but this adds to the excitement.\u201d\u00a0 AB<\/p>\n

\u201cMy best moment from the trip was the rafting.\u00a0 I had never done anything like it before.\u201d\u00a0 LH<\/p>\n

\u201cI loved how the water would spray you completely when dropping during the water rafting.\u201d\u00a0 HH<\/p>\n

\u201cGoing down the big drops during rafting was the best part of it!\u201d\u00a0 CS<\/p>\n
