On Valentines Day Year 3 Dolphins had a wonderful time creating Valentine Haiku poems for the people they cared for. Having chosen one special person in their life, they then thought of feelings, events and occasions associated to that person. Using the five, seven, five syllable rule they created their special haiku for their special person. They neatly wrote out their poems, disguised as a secret package and placed it in a Valentine pot that they had decorated. You can read their poems below, but can you recognise who is behind each pot!
Year 3 Valentine Haikus
You make me happy
You bake healthily for me
I love you so much.
I love you my dad
You go swimming with me lots
You cook tastily mum.
Dear Dad I love you
How you do all the fun things
How we get ice-cream!
Dear mum, love is sweet
It is the bond between us
How you care for me
Mum, you make me the
happiest boy in the world,
yes you mum. Thank you.
Bro, bro, super bro
I love playing mini sticks
You make me laugh lots!
Brother you are cool!
Your very special tome
You make me laugh lots.
I love mum and dad
I love you with all my heart
I love the big hugs.
Dear mum, you’re the best
I love you with all my heart
You’re the best great mum.
Dear little sister
You make me laugh lots and lots
I love you a lot.
I love you CC
I love you as a sister
You make me laugh lots.
Mum you are the best
Love is sweet and so are you
Mum, dad I love you.
Dear Dad I love you
How you do all the fun things
How we eat ice-cream.
Dear dad I love you
You make me laugh lots
You take care of me
Brother, great brother
You’re very special
You’re the best ever!
