Grade 1 and 2 visit the Catholic Church!

Last Wednesday Grade 1 and 2 visited the Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church. The children were very well behaved and asked lots of super questions.

The visit was part of our Religious Education topic we have been covering this term. Prior to the visit the children looked at different features of a church and talked about their own experiences of visiting a church. Over the year the grade 1’s and 2’s will be looking at all kinds of different religions and religious celebrations.

Take a look at the children in the church.

The next day the children wrote a recount of our visit. Click below to read one of them.

I think that’s very nice to go to a church and talk to the priest. We went to a church once and that was fun.

Hi everyone. Just had a wee look at all of the lovely things you have been up to. You are so lucky to be able to do all these wonderful things and I hope you realise how special your school is! I am living in Ireland now which is beautiful. It took a little getting used to but now it is home again. Falon has grown so much and is Primary two and loves her school. The twins will be 4 in two weeks time…whow already little men, they are so much fun.
Hope to visit you all again some day soon!
Much love… Miss Maireadxx Drop me a line when you can!
