In Year 2 we have been busy learning all about grammar.
We have been identifying different parts of a sentence and discovering whether words are
nouns,
adjectives,
or verbs.
To identify nouns, we made our very own ‘Noun Town’ where we had to label people, places, objects and ideas.
To identify adjectives, we learnt that they describe nouns whether it be their size, shape, colour or appearance.
To identify verbs, we learnt that they are actions – something that we can do.
We played a game of ‘Miss Helen says…’ to identify different actions.
In small groups, we also designed and made our own version of ‘Verb Charades.’
