Last week we had a visit from Inspector Duncan, don’t worry the children weren’t in trouble!

Prior to his visit the children worked in groups to decide who they wanted to interview, one of the groups chose a policeman. This fitted in well with our citizenship topic this term which is ‘People who help us’.

Inspector Duncan allowed the children to wear hats and some even got handcuffed! He talked about the role of a policeman and the children asked lots of questions. The main message was that policemen are our friends and are always there to help, just a phone call away!

J, it looks like you & your friends really enjoyed Inspector Duncan’s visit. Was it fun trying on hats & handcuffs? Bet everyone had lots of questions! Did Inspector Duncan turn on his siren & flashing lights when he left?
