Green Fingered Year Ones!

At the end of last term, our two Year One classes planted beans in plastic bags and hung them outside the classroom in order to observe them growing. Very soon, the roots and the shoots appeared and after drawing and writing about the changes they saw, they planted them in pots. Over the Easter holidays (and after a little TLC!) the beans have now shot up and are ready to be planted in our new garden area. Have a look at the photos showing children potting the bean plants and observing them carefully in the classroom with magnifying glasses.
