In May, the Grade 1 and 2’s went to visit the Fire Station. The children were shown around the station, they got the chance to sit in the fire engine and were able to spray the water hose! The children also learned about fire safety and what to do if there was a fire at home. The children even got into the local newspaper.

Do you remember that I came with you to the fire station? I hope you all enjoyed the visit as much as I did. The photos are great – especially the ones of you enjoying using the fire hose. Never thought I would ever have MY picture on the internet!
It was great to be able to come to your school with Mrs Sara to meet you all, see your super wall displays and hear you reading and singing. Thank you for making me so welcome.
