The children in Grade 1 have been making moving pictures. They each chose their own individual design and incorporated a lever or sliding mechanism into their picture. Read on to find out how we made our pictures move and to see our moving pictures.
We used paper fasteners to make arms, legs and wheels move. We attached card sliders to our animals or people to make them move through the air or the water. Some of us used card sliders to show rockets flying into space!
Look at our slide show to see our completed moving pictures.
Can you see how they move?
What great moving pictures – bunnies, rockets, dolphins and more! Having seen your blog today I asked some of you about them at playtime. You were all so excited to tell me about your picture and what part of it moved. I am really looking forward going in to your classroom to have a closer look at them all. The Grade 3s were really impressed too and commented on how happy you all looked in the photos. You are clearly very proud of your Design Technology achievements – Well done, everyone!
Well done Grade 1. I loved looking at every single one of your drawings and I am very impressed with how you made them move. Keep up the good work, it looks like you are having so much fun!
Wow what great moving pictures! I am very impressed with your DT skills Grade 1.
