The Grade 1 children have been really busy over the last few weeks! Here is a compilation of some of our super work.

As promised here are some more photos of our weaving.

We were all really happy with the results and they are now proudly displayed on our classroom wall.

Just before the Easter break we were all really excited to be able to celebrate the 100th day of school. Each day we investigate the ‘number of the day’ and couldn’t wait for the magic ‘100’! When the day finally came we had lots of fun including making 100 sponge prints, sticking 100 stickers onto hats, painting our feet and making 100 footprints, making a paperchain with 100 links, baking 100 cookies and thinking of 100 things to feel happy about. We also managed to stay silent for 100 seconds! Here are some of the photographs showing how much we enjoyed the day!

Last week we had a ‘fruity’ day. We investigated washing, peeling and chopping fruit. We each made a ‘fruit face’ and painted a picture of a fruit. We discussed the importance of healthy eating and how we should be aiming for that magic ‘5 a day’! Click here to see some of the fun we had.
