As another school year comes to an end, we must say a sad but excited farewell to our nine Year 6 students.<\/p>\n

Sad, because they have progressed through some or all of their primary years at Provo Primary and have given the school so, so many fond memories; excited because they leave for their next adventure-secondary\/high school- the next step towards adulthood!<\/p>\n

Their end was celebrated in style with a Graduation ceremony full of laughs and memories; tears and joy. It began beautifully with…<\/p>\n

a song dedicated to their transition onwards by Miss Shara, followed by a haunting rendition of a Cherokee tribal song full of strength to carry them forward. The children then recalled some of their favourite activities, teachers and memories from their time here, reminding us all of how far they have come. Next came poems dedicated to each other\u2019s strengths and then Rahim, Tedra, Olympia and Millie read some of their own magnificent poems written with the help of Miss Bonnie.<\/p>\n

Miss Cara then read a story about \u20189 superheroes in Year 6\u2019 describing each student individually with their wonderful attributes. Ms Alison commended the children on their recent trip and their effort throughout the years before Miss Sian presented each child with their own graduation scroll. Pictures were taken and then, of course, hats were flung! As emotional as this rite of passage is for students, parents and teachers, it is also a wonderful celebration of the journey it takes for each child to arrive at Graduation!\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Moving on, the children did fantastically in their high school entrance exams, with all of them have successfully passing and gaining places at either the TCI Middle school or BWI Collegiate.\u00a0 Lyle achieved first place in the TCI Middle school and Charlotte second place in the Grade 7 BWI Collegiate exam. Rahim achieved first place in Maranatha High School but has decided to go The BWI Collegiate.\u00a0 Two of these students are actually Grade 5 age who have been at the school throughout their school life.<\/p>\n
