\"\"<\/a>Five of our Year 6 students dazzled parents and friends with their piano playing in their Spring recital this Sunday.\u00a0 They are all learning the piano with teacher Wendy Hayward of the Celestial Music Studio.\u00a0 Some have been having lessons for a few years, others have just started.\u00a0 It was a very entertaining event with a variety of pieces celebrating their range of playing abilities.<\/p>\n

There was a large audience and I know some of the children felt apprehensive before playing, but their confidence blossomed as they played, and their efforts were appreciated by encouraging claps and support. Well done to all the pianists!\u00a0 I’m sure that you all felt very proud of your achievements. Keep practising and enjoying this wonderful instrument and let us know when your next recital will take place.<\/p>\n

It was wonderful to see each player, reading the music and learning to use the correct finger movements.\u00a0 Each child was clearly working at their own level and mastering this instrument in a progressive programme.\u00a0 Miss Wendy was very proud of all the children and hopes that they will continue to practise and take lessons in the future.\u00a0 Playing at a recital is a valuable part of learning and can help to establish a goal to work towards.\u00a0 This gives the children power and direction to create a map to success that will help achieve their piano dreams.\u00a0 By attending piano recitals, children have the opportunity to become more confident, to learn from their mistakes and to build on these dreams.<\/p>\n
