{"id":3780,"date":"2010-06-06T12:55:41","date_gmt":"2010-06-06T16:55:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.provoprimaryblog.com\/?p=3780"},"modified":"2010-06-06T12:55:41","modified_gmt":"2010-06-06T16:55:41","slug":"swimming-lessons-start-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/provolearning.com\/blog\/school-news\/swimming-lessons-start-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Swimming Lessons Start"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3781\" title=\"swimming-june-2010\" src=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/www.provoprimaryblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/swimming-june-2010.jpg?resize=460%2C275\" alt=\"\" width=\"460\" height=\"275\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Swimming lessons set off to a great start this week and, with the weather heating up at this time of year, this is a welcome, refreshing experience for all involved.<\/p>\n<p>Living in an island environment, we feel that confidence in water &#8211; and ultimately the ability to swim \u2013 is an essential life skill.\u00a0 We therefore endeavour to impart the necessary water and swimming skills in a positive and fun way, while at the same time, furthering, recording and assessing the progress of each individual.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to thank KH Capital and the homeowners of our neighbouring Flamingo Park  residences who have very kindly agreed to us using their pools.\u00a0 Their community support with this programme is invaluable and much appreciated.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Over the month of June, there will be 5 weeks of swimming sessions for our KS1 children and those in KS2 who have been assessed as needing further support with learning to swim and developing stroke techniques and stamina.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Swimming lessons set off to a great start this week and, with the weather heating up at this time of year, this is a welcome, refreshing experience for all involved.
