{"id":3124,"date":"2010-02-11T20:35:09","date_gmt":"2010-02-12T01:35:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.provoprimaryblog.com\/?p=3124"},"modified":"2010-02-11T20:35:09","modified_gmt":"2010-02-12T01:35:09","slug":"jk-our-future-turks-and-caicos-plumbers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/provolearning.com\/blog\/jnr-kindergarten\/jk-our-future-turks-and-caicos-plumbers\/","title":{"rendered":"JK &#8211; Our Future Turks and Caicos Plumbers?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3123 alignleft\" style=\"border: 1px solid black; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px;\" title=\"jk-water-plant-\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.provoprimaryblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/jk-water-plant-.jpg?resize=200%2C189\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"189\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/>The Junior Kindergarten are learning about people who help them in the community.\u00a0 One of their dad&#8217;s is a plumber and he came in to talk to them about his job.\u00a0 He brought in lots of water pipes, levers, switches and tools for them to explore and connect.\u00a0 Together, they made a model of a simple desalination plant, which changes salt water to fresh water.<\/p>\n<p>Since his visit, the children have continued to enjoy using the water pipe pieces in their free play.\u00a0 When creating hotels, homes and hospitals with the big bricks and waffle blocks, they include the water pipes to construct water systems and take on the role as plumbers and maintenance workers.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a <a title=\"JK Water Plant\" href=\"..\/slideshows\/JK\/jk-water-plant-04-02-10\/\" target=\"_blank\">slideshow<\/a> of the children building with the water pipes.
