{"id":2718,"date":"2009-09-28T23:06:30","date_gmt":"2009-09-28T23:06:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.provoprimaryblog.com\/?p=2718"},"modified":"2011-04-27T20:37:42","modified_gmt":"2011-04-27T20:37:42","slug":"tttttt-turtles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/provolearning.com\/blog\/year-3\/tttttt-turtles\/","title":{"rendered":"Tttttt&#8230;Turtles!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2719 alignnone\" style=\"border: 1px solid black;\" title=\"turtle-sept-2009\" src=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/www.provoprimaryblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/turtle-sept-2009.jpg?resize=460%2C214\" alt=\"turtle-sept-2009\" width=\"460\" height=\"214\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Year 3 and 4 were very lucky last week to have Brian and Natasha come to talk to them and answer their many questions about sea turtles that live around The Turks and Caicos Islands.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>They are part of a team of people studying turtles in our local environment.\u00a0 The children learned a lot about different species of turtles and how to identify them.\u00a0 They were also particularly amazed to learn how easily humans and other animals can affect the turtle\u2019s ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2720\" style=\"border: 1px solid black; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px;\" title=\"turtle1-sept-2009\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/www.provoprimaryblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/turtle1-sept-2009.jpg?resize=250%2C231\" alt=\"turtle1-sept-2009\" width=\"250\" height=\"231\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During the talk each child was assigned a job.
