\"\"<\/a>With memories of the summer holidays still fresh in the Preschool children\u2019s heads, we have spent the first few weeks of term talking about the places and people they visited and how they got there – plane, train, automobile, boat or bike!<\/p>\n

We were amazed that some of the children were able to recall where their travels had taken them and a little of what they saw or did over the summer.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n


\nThe children have enjoyed role play activities including entering an aeroplane and then linking the rest of their day exploring how people travel from one place to the other.\u00a0 They have been using a boarding pass, complete with their photo, to identify themselves and then signed in using pictures of different vehicles depending on how they got to school.\u00a0 The children loved when they could identify the different sounds, functions and colours of the vehicles.<\/p>\n

Water fun plus bike days have added to the excitement with the children exploring the wonders of how people get to one place or the other on land, sea and air.
\nDuring our circle time, we have been singing nursery rhymes related to traveling such as \u201cThe Wheels on the Bus\u201d, \u201cDown by the Station\u201d and \u201cRow, Row, Row your Boat\u201d and learnt to recognise picture clue cards as a symbol for each song.<\/p>\n

We also take out our trikes, bike and large wheeled toys to the big car park for a super riding time together.<\/p>\n
