It is an Irish team sport, played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or punching the ball into the other team&#8217;s goals (3 points) or between two upright posts above the goals and over a crossbar 2.5 metres (8.2\u00a0ft) above the ground (1 point). The range of skills this game tests and improves is fantastic and has been a real eye-opener for Key Stage Two!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>What has made us so very lucky is we have the skills and vast experience of Miss Emma who has been a coach for Gaelic football for quite some time in Ireland. She brought lots of equipment for us and her sessions are truly amazing with the children moving through a range of short activities in groups that really hone their skills for this sport.
