\"\"Year 6 have just returned from their week long field trip to the Dominican Republic.\u00a0\u00a0 An experience never to be forgotten with ever lasting memories.\u00a0 Staying at Rancho Baiguate in Jarabacoa provided the perfect mountainous backdrop for an array of team building activities, cultural learning, language immersion, environmental studies; and the opportunities to develop further independence and responsible attitudes.\u00a0 Our students were true ambassadors for our school and it was a pleasure to spend a well-deserved week away from home with them.<\/p>\n

Please read a few comments below from our Year 6 students to get an idea about the experiences encountered and the powerful impact a residential trip can have on a young mind.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cThe water rafting was incredible and whilst you travel along the river you see the beautiful jungle.\u201d LC<\/h4>\n

\u201cI recommend the river rafting to the next year 6 class.\u00a0 It was amazing!\u201d BD<\/h4>\n

\u201cThe ranch was phenomenal; and the natural beauty of the DR was breathtaking!\u201d NH<\/h4>\n

\u201cI would definitely recommend going to the waterfall because it is such a beautiful part of nature.\u201d JS<\/h4>\n

\u201cI loved the trip, but the rafting was the highlight because it was exciting and nerve wrecking.\u201d\u00a0 JW<\/h4>\n

\u201cThe ropes course gives you adrenaline pumping thrills, while also making you giddy.\u201d\u00a0 ED<\/h4>\n

\u201cThe campfire on the last day brought us altogether and we got to hear everybody\u2019s thoughts.\u201d ZS<\/h4>\n

\u201cThe DR was a trip I will never forget, we had to overcome so many challenges and fears.\u201d JH<\/h4>\n

\u201cOne of the best trips of my life\u2026hanging out with my friends and taking part in thrilling activities was amazing!\u201d SJ<\/h4>\n

\u201cIt was a great experience and it really helped me to be more independent and efficient.\u201d\u00a0 RM<\/h4>\n

\u201cThe highlight of my trip was when the girls and I discovered the horses playing in a lush meadow.\u201d CC<\/h4>\n

\u201cI enjoyed all the activities in the DR.\u00a0 The water rafting was the highlight.\u00a0 You had to work together as a group in order to make it down a very fast-moving river.\u201d\u00a0 LT<\/h4>\n

\u201cWater rafting was one of the most thrilling and memorable activities.\u201d\u00a0 AR<\/h4>\n

\u201cI will always treasure the ranch.\u00a0 It is very appealing and alluring because of the stunning scenery which surrounds it.\u201d\u00a0 CG<\/h4>\n

\u201cIt was scary being the first person on the ropes course.\u00a0 The pranks we played on each other were also good fun!\u201d\u00a0 DT<\/h4>\n

I can\u2019t put it any clearer than that!\u00a0 We want to say a massive thank you to Mrs. Yorka, Mrs. Betty, Mr. Ingo and Mr. Cesar for accompanying us and helping us make the most of our time when away from home.
