\"\"Yesterday was a fun packed day of World Book Day activities.\u00a0 Marking its 20th anniversary, this annual celebration of authors, illustrators and reading is recognised in more than 100 countries around the world.<\/p>\n

The main aim of World Book Day is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and we certainly had lots of opportunities for this throughout the day… click on to see photos of our Book Character Dress Up, Book Swap, Non-Fiction Quiz and BWIC drama skits.<\/p>\n

Visiting Year 9s from the British West Indies Collegiate:<\/h3>\n

The Year 9s from the BWIC entertained KS2 with phenomenal fairy tale skits.\u00a0 After this, they read story books to KS1 and also got to hear some of the children read to them.\u00a0 We really look forward to this time each year when these young people come to visit us.\u00a0 Thank you to Miss Rankin and Year 9:<\/p>\n
