\"yr-6-halloween-games-nov-2016-1\"Year 6 recently played a significant role in Provo Primary School\u2019s annual Halloween Party.\u00a0\u00a0 They were set the challenge of designing, creating and implementing the games that could be used.\u00a0 The design brief enabled the students to focus on games that would be fun to play, could be differentiated easily across different age groups and maintained a spooky theme to fulfill the atmosphere of a Halloween party.<\/p>\n

The students in Year 6 were grouped into 5 teams and posed with the above challenge.\u00a0 Getting straight down to work they blasted ideas before settling on a firm notion that could be developed fully to meet the needs of the design brief.\u00a0 The planning stage also considered how prizes would be allocated to winners, how many people would be needed to operate the games, resources and materials needed to build and so on.<\/p>\n

The real work came down on the day of the build; and we were very lucky to have some Year 6 parent volunteers to help us meet our design objectives.\u00a0 Team work played a vital role at this stage and the results demonstrate this to a great extent!\u00a0 Please check out the photos below and see the new creations that were on offer at the party.\u00a0 I think you will agree some very original thinking went into these and feedback from the night of the party indicated how participants enjoyed them immensely.<\/p>\n

A huge well done to all Year 6 students!\u00a0 In addition, they operated their designs on the night of the party and worked diligently to ensure gamers understood the rules and had a good time while engaging with them.<\/p>\n
