National Heritage Celebration Assembly<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u201c<\/b>Our Culture, Our Heritage, Our Turks and Caicos\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

(Friday 14th October @1:30pm)<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Everyone is invited to join us as our Years 1-6 honour our national songs, tales and dances.\u00a0 This will be followed by an opportunity to view some heritage artefacts on display and to sample some local traditional food.\u00a0 Come join the celebrations!<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>National Heritage Project Fridays<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Every Friday afternoon, our children will be engaged in a range of really hands-on, exploratory Heritage and Cultural projects.\u00a0 We will be inviting talented local members of our community to share and demonstrate a range of traditional experiences for the children to be actively involved in \u2013 \u00a0including Sloop building, tabby house construction, sisal weaving, traditional music making and recreation activities such as maypole dancing and pulling peggy (tug of war) and traditional cuisine and bush medicine.<\/p>\n

National Heritage Showcase<\/strong><\/h3>\n
(Friday 18th November @2:15pm)<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Come along to our ‘Showcase’ where everyone is invited to come along to see the children demonstrating the new knowledge and skills they have learned during our Heritage and Cultural projects.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll be encouraging you to have a go yourself and maybe you\u2019ll even get to sample some of our cooking too!<\/p>\n
