You can see what they will be learning about on their <a href=\"http:\/\/provolearning.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/yr-3-eygptian-topic-map-nov-20141.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Ancient Egypt Topic Map<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>How do we learn about people&#8217;s lives in past?\u00a0\u00a0 Stepping into their class today and asking them this very question, the Year 3s bombarded me with different ways that I can discover about a time so long ago&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You can ask an archaeologist and look at what they dig up; you can look up information on the Internet and in books; you can look at photographs; or go and visit Egypt to see buildings that are still standing and read hieroglyphics on pyramid walls.\u00a0 Where shall I start&#8230;?\u00a0 Thank you Year 3.\u00a0 You have given me lots of ideas on how to learn about life in the past.<\/p>\n<p>I look forward to my next visit to see Year 3, as they delved deeper into this topic.\u00a0 I certainly am interested to see them designing and making their picture frames&#8230; something I spotted on their topic map!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Year 3 started the year doing a geography-based\u00a0 topic about &#8216;The World and Weather&#8217; in which they learnt about our world and where and how people live today.\u00a0 This half term, they will now be\u00a0 traveling back in time to find out about life in the past&#8230; and more specifically, life in Ancient Egypt.
