\"osprey-smiths-reef-TCI-22-02-14\"To celebrate the first ever ‘World Osprey Week’, Provo Primary School and DEMA will be holding a\u00a0Class Osprey Art Competition for Year 2 to Year 6.<\/p>\n

Use pencils and coloured pencils to create a drawing of an osprey.\u00a0 You can choose to draw a close up of an osprey, focus in on its head or talons, draw an osprey in a nest, flying or hunting, draw a scene from a distance\u2026the choice is yours, be as creative as you can.<\/p>\n

Certificates will be presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each class.
\nThere will also be a small prize for the 1 place winners.<\/p>\n

Remember that we have some special, new osprey books in the library which you make like to use to inspire your art work.\u00a0 You also might like to visit an osprey nesting site this weekend to see a real osprey.<\/p>\n

All artwork needs to come into school next week by Thursday 27 March.

\nThe artwork will be judged by a representative from DEMA and Mrs. Charlotte on the following criteria:
\nExpression \u2013 relevance to the theme of Ospreys (up to 5 points)
\nOriginality \/ Creativity (up to 5 points)
\nArtistic Technique (up to 5 points)
\nBest of luck and enjoy celebrating \u2018World Osprey Week\u2019, expressing your ideas through art!
