<\/strong>As part of our Literacy project on Plays<\/em>, Flamingo Class are excited to present their very own performance of\u00a0My Dad’s A Birdman<\/em> on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The Year 4 classroom has been a hive of activity for the past 13 days, as we developed our theatre project using skills learned across our curriculum. Every lesson has had a distinctly feathery theme! We invite you all to join us for a memorable performance…we’re ready for take off!<\/p>\n

In our reading<\/strong>, we have been thinking about how we can infer how characters feel by the things that they say. We have used this difficult skill to help us create a fantastic play, using all our drama skills to bring the story to life!<\/p>\n

But it hasn’t stopped with reading skills! We have been learning about persuasive writing<\/strong> so that we can create advertisements for our performance. In our dance<\/strong> lessons, we have choreographed original dances to represent moods and feelings as well as create images of birds in our audience’s mind. In order to create our set and props, we have used our art<\/strong> and design<\/strong> lessons. We even experimented with air resistance in science<\/strong> to see if we really could fly!<\/p>\n

We can’t wait to show you our fantastic show. So <\/em>Roll up! Roll up!<\/strong><\/p>\n
