Now, through our Science Fair, it was the turn of our young scientists\u00a0 to share their discoveries with their fellow students, parents and visitors!<\/p>\n<p>In science, in addition to discovering a great deal of new information about a topic, children are encouraged to develop their science enquiry skills (the scientific method).\u00a0 These skills underpin the essential processes required for carrying out investigations, drawing conclusions and forming scientific understanding.\u00a0 The children were encouraged to communicate these skills through their Science Fair activities.<\/p>\n<p>We hope that through watching this short movie,\u00a0 you will\u00a0 see how practical investigation and developing an understanding of scientific enquiry skills is a huge part of our science programme here at Provo Primary School.<\/p>\n<p>If you fancy singing along to the background music\u00a0as you watch, and learning more about elements of the scientific method, you can print out the <a href=\"http:\/\/provolearning.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/scientific-method-song-lyrics.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">lyrics<\/a> here.\u00a0 It&#8217;s such a catchy tune!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This term and throughout Science\u00a0 Week, children in all classes from Year 2 &#8211; 6 have been busy observing, experimenting and reflecting on all kinds of scientific knowledge.
