\"\"<\/a>Our Toddler Class had its first Open House this week.\u00a0 The class started in September and has been immensely popular with children and parents alike. Parents came along to the Open House and enjoyed a morning of activities and fun together with their child, finding out a bit more about what happens during our toddler sessions.<\/p>\n

Things started with a circle time of songs and action rhymes.\u00a0 The children have been learning baby sign language and the children’s knowledge and growing confidence in using this was very apparent throughout the session.\u00a0 Everyone then explored the classroom together and got to do an art activity together – hand printing is a toddler favourite!\u00a0 Each family then shared a time together with their child’s portfolio of art creations they have done.\u00a0 Finally there was a picnic and play.\u00a0 Everyone had a great time learning more about our toddler class\u00a0 and it was a lovely opportunity for families to meet with each other and connect.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Toddler Class is an opportunity for children to begin to explore the world on their own.\u00a0 It is a nurturing environment where children can follow their inner desire to learn,\u00a0 engage with materials and to begin to socialize and communicate with their peers.\u00a0 With lots of art activities, songs, music, dance, soft play and outdoor adventures they can explore our learning environment using all their senses.\u00a0 Currently classes are on Mon, Wed and Fri from 8:30 – 12:00 noon for children aged 17 months to 27 months (Children turning 2 by September 2013), although we are looking to expand our days next term to offer more places and flexibility.\u00a0 Please contact the school if you are interested in learning more about our Toddler Class or please pass on our information to other parents who you know might.<\/p>\n
