There are a variety of ways of judging intelligence and all of our Year 6 children are intelligent in unique ways. Some speak two languages, some play sports or love art. Others have a natural talent for music or drama. They are polite, well-rounded, caring, confident, creative, inquisitive, individuals. There is no “exam” in the world that allows them to show all of the amazing and incredible things that makes them who they are.

We are all very proud of who you are and what their successful post-primary entrance exam results. All of the children passed every exam taken and were accepted into the schools of their choice – either the British West Indies Collegiate, the TCI Middle School or at other international schools.

Six of our Year 6 students took local school Year 7 entrance exams. All 6 students were offered a place at TCI Middle School out of only 12 available places.

In total, 37 children from the Turks and Caicos sat the Year 7 British West Indies Collegiate exams for 9 available places. We were extremely pleased that all 5 of our students who sat the exam were offered a place.

The remaining three of our Year 6 students were planning to leave the island to go to international schools elsewhere. We congratulated them on their success with the enrolment process for these schools.

Our Long-Standing Exam Success

We have gained the top position in the Year 7 TCI Middle School entrance exams for the past 5 years in a row (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015). Last year our students were allocated the top 8 positions, with a total of 10 of the 12 available places awarded to Provo Primary students.

We have gained the top position in the Year 7 British West Indies Collegiate School (BWIC) entrance exams in 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013. Last year our students were allocated 6 of the top 10 positions, including 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Sometimes, children enter the Year 6 at the
