Over the past few weeks in Year 6, we have been creating our own vision boards. A vision board is a tool used to help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on a specific life goal. Literally, a vision board is any sort of on which you display images and words that represent whatever you want to be, do or have in your life.
Here are a few statements from the children in Iguana class about their understanding of visions boards and their purpose:
- Vision boards display what we hope to achieve in our futures.
- Our goals and targets are colourfully illustrated on paper or as 3D models.
- We all hope that one day, in the near or far future, we will be able to think how much we have achieved and how our vision boards helped us.
- The reason why we created vision boards is to show what we envision ourselves achieving.
- We made them to showcase what we are going to accomplish.
In Year 6, we really hope that these vision boards allow us to take our ideas and goals to the next level by seeing exactly what it is that we want to achieve.
