Year 3 Dolphins have been having a hiss-terical time with their ‘Place Value Snakes’. They have been used to asss-ist them in identifying the value of digits in 3, 4 and sometimes even 5 digit numbers. Each counter you drop into a snake’s hole stands for one value in that place. For example, two counters in the ‘tens’ hole stands for two tens, or 20. Three counters in the ‘thousand’ hole stands for 3 thousands or 3000. Such clever snakessss , such clever Dolphins too!
