TCI National Education Week, 2015

tci-crestThe Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports & Library Services cordially invites the general public to celebrate this year’s Education Week: March 1st -6th, under the theme “Unite for Quality Education: Better Education for a Better World”.

This year’s theme song for Education Week 2015 is written by Clement Howell High School Music Department and performed by the staff and students of the schools.

Education Week was established more than 26 years ago to call attention to the importance of education and to showcase the talents of TCI teachers and students.

This year’s theme aims to mobilize education partners around a shared vision of quality education, with a focus on:

  • Quality Teachers: Teachers are the most important educational resource and a critical determinant of quality.
  • Quality tools and resources: Modern curricula and inclusive teaching and learning materials and resources.
  • Quality Environment: Supportive, safe and secure teaching and learning environments enabling teachers to teach effectively.

During this week the general public is encouraged to join in unity with educators across the country in support of quality education for a better TCI.  Here at Provo Primary we begin a week’s learning focusing on Literacy and with World Book Day, visits from Collegiate student storytellers and our ‘Open House’ showcases on Friday, we are set for a busy week of activities.
