Sports’ Day – Grades 1 – 6

Following on from the highly successful Kindergarten Sports’ Day, Grades 1 to 6 had their annual Sports’ Day at 4.00pm this afternoon. The children arrived at the Football Field wearing their team colours and competed against each other demonstrating a wide range of skills and a lot of stamina!

The 2 hours of fun and games included: Runs – sprints, fun relays and running whilst balancing objects; Fun Skills – Skipping (which has been a major focus this term and virtually every child can now skip) and target-type games using beanbags etc; Push and Pull – Tug of War and some kind of throwing event. Many of these events reflected just how imaginative and creative our teachers can be! The afternoon’s events culminated in a boys and girls relay with runners from every grade – and they were all superb!

Below are some links to slideshows of photos taken during the event – special thanks to Krys Mann for allowing us to use some of her super photos.

The children appeared to enjoy every minute and Miss Alison’s highly entertaining commentary raised a few smiles too. Below are some links to a few of the children’s views.

The parents showed us their skills too by competing in the races for mums and dads. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day a success, to those who competed and our very supportive crowd.
