Cooperative Art Projects in Flamingo Class!

What a start to the year it’s been in Year 4!

We have spent a lot of time during these first weeks getting to know each other!  We discussed the importance of helping each other out this year so that everyone can participate, learn and have fun in Flamingo Class.  In order to put our ideas into action, we set about creating pieces of art that required us to cooperate together and learn from each other.

First, we created some jigsaw-artworks.  We each had to create a piece of a much larger painting without knowing what the overall picture was supposed to look like!  It took a lot of time and care in order to discuss how to solve the problem and work together effectively.  Our first attempt was a bit of a disaster – none of the pieces fitted together properly and some of us disagreed on which colours to use!  However, after persevering and communicating clearly, we managed to create beautiful versions of famous Miro and Picasso paintings!

I seriously enjoyed reading this specific info on artwork and I’m just always researching for innovative ideas similar to these. I intend to learn more from your web site and look ahead to observing a lot more of your art.
