A message from Ms. Suzie

Hello Provo Primary! Since leaving Providenciales in 2004, I have never forgotten our friends and colleagues at Provo Primary School.  My family (Husband Brent and son Russell) and I hold many great memories of living on the island and meeting so many wonderful people.  I frequently peruse the Provo Primary website and blog and really enjoy reading the current events and looking at photos of so many familiar faces.

I now work at an ESL school, in Toronto. I continue to have a passion for fundraising and when the Haiti disaster occurred, I wanted to help. My thoughts and prayers were with our many friends on Provo, from the Haitian community. Our school, ILSC-Toronto held a week long fundraising event.

We had a book sale, bake sale, jelly bean count, art raffle, tarot card readings and more. Our efforts raised $818. ILSC matched our total and in turn, the Canadian Government. I am very proud to announce that $3,272 will help the earthquake survivors in Haiti.

Russell attended Provo Primary when he was 6-9 years old.  He has grown to be a fine young man. He is 15.5 years old and stands 5 ft. 8 inches tall. He enjoys ice hockey, guitar and making videos.  He actively fundraises for charities and will run for student council next year, in Grade 11.

We really miss Provo and hope to visit again one day. You can find both Russell and I on facebook.

Best Wishes, Ms. Suzie (Pictured left above)
