It was school photo day last week and with all the children in the school’s individual, sibling and class photos to take that’s a lot of photos!
Here is an image you won’t see when you see the final prints. It’s some of the Brilliant by Tropical Imaging’s team, hard at work taking the shots.
Photo day is a busy day but with a great team effort it runs smoothly and is a lot of fun. A big thank you to everyone involved – once again some amazing smiles, captured of some amazing children, taken by some amazing photographers!
To see a selection of the photos, please go to the Brilliant by Tropical Imaging website and parents, don’t forget to order your copies by14th Feb.

After a restful break, Year 6 have come back raring to go! With a ton of school entrance exams coming their way, the children are eager to raise the necessary funds for an end of year trip as celebration/ reward for completing a tough final year at primary school. Parents very kindly donated their time to detailed discussion of how to reach this end goal. The result of which was a plan for a smorgasbord of fundraising fun!

Look at all the superb art work created by the children in each class at Provo Primary School using a range of art techniques and styles. What talent – the pieces are truly outstanding! What could be a more fitting theme for our art work than Flamingos, a beautiful bird found locally here and also our school logo. The art work will be auctioned off at our Curry Night tomorrow. What a creative way for the children to play their part in raising the funds for their new soccer field. Wouldn’t you just love to have one of these masterpieces in your home or business? Click on to see all the artwork in full and pick your favourite…if you can.

Hundreds flocked to our school for one of the island’s biggest Halloween parties last weekend.
Last week Peter and Eliza visited us at Provo Primary to share with us a project very close to their hearts. They, along with many others, work hard to support and care for children in Caracol Children’s Home in Haiti.
Year 5 disappeared from school last week and spent their Numeracy lesson at one of our local supermarkets, IGA, investigating kilograms and grams. Upon arrival, the children were given a list of ‘weighty’ challenges to complete. These included finding the mass of a variety of items in store, working out the lightest and heaviest objects and also ordering items by weight.
