Following the success of last year’s event, the PTA and School Council are once again collaborating to organise a school-wide ‘World Book Day Book Swap’ on Thursday 3rd March.
Swap your old books for new favourites. Here’s how it works…
1. Each child wanting to participate donates at least one book (in good condition or new) and brings this/these to the donation box in their class by Tuesday 1st March.
2. In return for the donated book/s, the child will receive a book token on which their name is recorded.

This week in J.K. we concluded our 5 Senses topic by doing some cooking and baking. This was a wonderful hands-on activity that used every sense. The children delighted in measuring, mixing, smelling and tasting all of the raw and cooked vegetables in the noodle soup and had a brilliant time kneading their bread rolls.
This term Year 4 have been showing Provo Primary that they really are the most WILD of all the wild things! They have accomplished this through a Talk for Writing project in Literacy this half term for their Age Of Exploration topic.
Year 6 were presented with the task of investigating some new technology resources at Provo Primary School today. Advertised as ‘an invention kit for the 21st century’, it was a session of experimentation, creativity and collaboration, with three groups exploring our new

What a fantastic start to 2016 Flamingo class has had. We have been delving into the faiths and beliefs of Buddhists all around the world. We started looking at the story of the Buddha and how he came to realise there was more to life than the life of luxury behind his palace walls.





The Toddlers have been learning popular nursery rhymes so far this term. A favourite has been Humpty Dumpty and they have been exploring the rhyme in a variety of ways.
The Preschool’s Topic, ‘It’s All About the Shapes’, has involved far more than learning just about the basic shapes, but rather exploring the world of ‘shape’.
We have been back at school only a few weeks now, and already Year 3 have been invited along to other classes to share and discover some of the exciting activities that have been going on in their classrooms. Year 4 invited us to come and encounter their “Explorers and their Discoveries” projects they had researched into. Year 1 invited us to come and experience some of their ‘MindUp’ learning.
