What an amazing selection of Spring Bonnets we saw today at our annual EYFS Spring Bonnet Parade.

Thank you to all of our EYFS families for doing such a wonderful job of creating the bonnets.  It takes some skill balancing and sticking eggs, nests, chicks, flowers on a hat and creating bunny ears that stay upright – a great example of a STEM learning activity at home for both adult and child to work on together! What creative families we have!  The bonnets were fantastic!

As is tradition, the children participated in a short parade around the school in front of cheering and clapping parents, friends and older students.

Provo Primary PTA and The Provo Sailing Club invite you to come and celebrate National Youth Day with us at our Beach Family Fun Day.

Friday 25th September at the Kids Park in the Bight between 2 and 5 pm.

Join us for Hobie cat rides, sandcastle building and endless oodles of beach and water fun.

Bring your coolers – the PTA will also have a refreshing watermelon stand.

This weeks PTA Meeting will kick off the School Year for 2015. We have a few new members and some important subjects to discuss, so if you can make it – please do try and come along.

Our main topic of conversation at this meeting will be the upcoming Halloween Party. If you would like to volunteer your time or help with this incredibly popular event, but cant make it to the meeting please let us know.

We would like to encourage current Class Reps, and those interested in taking up the role to come to the meeting so you can better understand what your role is for the year!

Last week, our teachers were very happy to be surprised by a special Provo Primary Teacher Appreciation Week.  A HUGE thank you to Kate, our PTA Chair, for organising a host of children and parents into celebrating and thanking all of our teachers for the hard work they have done this year.

Thank you to all of the kind parents who took the time to bake and prepare treats. All of those daily morning goodies brought an extra smile to everyone’s faces at the start of each day.

Relieving teachers of their lunchtime duties was such a luxury. Thank you to all who volunteered.

The teachers also very much enjoyed all the delightful messages and surprises from the children.

On behalf of all of the teachers, I would like to thank everyone for your recognition and support of all that they do – everyone felt full of gratitude!  Thank you.

Our annual PTA egg hunt was once again a phenomenal success. All the way from our youngest students, right through to our oldest, everyone enjoyed the egg-citement of searching our playgrounds for colourful eggs, filled with treats.  In total almost 500 eggs were concealed, with a few ‘golden’ eggs with eggs-tra special treats inside. What an eggs-travaganza! Everyone was thoroughly egg-hausted at the end – no doubt especially the Easter Bunny, who came very early today to hide them all.

Walnut, our school chicken, took a break from laying today, but didn’t want to miss out on the hunt, collecting 5 eggs of her own!  Well done, Walnut!

All in all, a lovely way to have some fun and celebrate the end of a hard-working and productive term – Happy holidays, everyone and see you all back on Tuesday 14th April!

Our 4th annual Skate Night was almost a couple of weeks ago, but with all of our recent events, we are only just getting to post these memorable photos.  The turnout was amazing with beaming smiles of happy Provo Primary and community families skating the night away!

The evening was definitely an all-round success.  We would like to pass on a huge thanks to everyone came along, to the Graceway Sports Center and to Haley and her team who helped to organise and run the event!

Don’t miss out on the PTA’s fourth annual Family Skate Night!  Friday 27th Feb – 6-8pm @ The Graceway Sports Center.

Whether you skate or not, it’s always a great time both on and off the rink – there will be a fantastic playlist, goodies for sale, a dance area and puck shoot out with prizes (for an additional fee).
