Hello Again from Preschool – Wow what an amazing start to the new term – the children have been absorbed in activity since coming back after a lovely Spring break.
We are all getting older now and can do so much more with our busy hands and inquisitive minds. Have a look at our photographs of the children working on the mat during independent choice. We can count, sort and build. You can also take a look at our amazing gluing skills as we make our sound of the week ‘r’ rainbow and our fish for our Under the Sea display.
See you again soon with more lovely news and photographs.
Spring was certainly in the air this morning with our spectacular EYFS Spring Bonnet Parade. What a wonderful variety of bonnets, with flowers, chicks, eggs and bunnies galore! All the older children and parents enjoyed seeing all the hat designs, each one showing such amazing creativity. What a lovely way to celebrate the end of our spring term!
Our Preschool class had lots of fun bouncing like ‘Bouncing Ben’ from Letterland.

Hi! This month in Preschool we are enjoying music and dance in preparation for our end of term show and our daily craft activities are helping our hand eye coordination skills. Last week we had a ‘big kid’ helper who loved being chased on the green field and he also helped us to learn how to skip. During free play in class, we are very busy in construction – we have discovered how to build towers, funny faces, castles and ladders. Have a look at our busy bee pictures and enjoy the fun!

Our Preschool Class has had a wonderful first few weeks at school. The children adore their new class room which is filled with lots of fun and educational activities. They love to dress up, play with cars, paint, glue, sing and do puzzles! Soft play is just the best for bouncing around and letting loose! Our new swing set is great fun and lots of water play has helped us to cool down in this HOT September weather. Nursery Rhymes is our first topic this term and as we learn them we are developing our vocabulary skills. Our class aim is to bake or cook once a week……Mmmm, we have already made sugar cookies and muffins. Last week the class also went on a mini school trip around every classroom delivering them. Read on to see lots and lots of photos of us in busy at school.
To celebrate Fathers’ Day, PreSchool and Junior Kindergarten held a “Pirate Papas” event. Children and dads alike entered into the spirit of the occasion and dressed up in their best pirate outfits. The scene was set for our motley crew as they listened to a story about a pirate boy and his pirate papa. Next, with a song, the search for booty began as they set off on a hunt around a desert island in search of a hoard of golden nuggets which was rumoured to have been hidden by another band of pirates! Once they were sure every piece of hidden treasure had been found our pirates returned to their ship for a hearty snack. What a great adventure! Click on to see more photos of the Pirate adventure!
