Our new school year got off to a rather turbulent start with the passing of not one but two hurricanes. Hurricane Irma, a Category 5 hurricane on the Saffir Simpson scale swept through the islands first, followed by Hurricane Maria two weeks later, causing widespread damage to our island home.  Across the TCI, roofs were blown off; power poles knocked down; and some structures simply collapsed, no match for the strength of the destructive 165 mph winds

Our annual traditional Christmas lunch will be on Thursday 15th December with roast turkey, roast potatoes, vegetables and a cookie for dessert. The Christmas lunch is available for all full day children.

After our successful week of trialing, our new lunch menu has been set. You will see that we have added the chicken fried rice and roast pork loin which seemed to be the most popular choices with the children.

Next week, we will be having pizza on Wednesday; pasta and meatballs on Thursday; and chicken fingers on Friday.   The following week, we will be on the new schedule.

As the owner of our school lunch provider is away until October 15th, we have decided to keep the menu the same as it was last term. On his return, we will be trialling some new options with a view to introducing any new dishes into the menu after the mid-term break.  Consequently, this order form takes us up to the 17th October.  A new order form incorporating some new lunch ideas will be sent out to cover the period between the 18th October and 26th October.

As always, we welcome your comments/feedback on the lunch programme so if you do have any “bright ideas” as to what we can include, please do let us know.

There was great excitement last week as our U11 boys and girls soccer teams participated in the annual TCIFA Schools’ Soccer Tournament with the boys team ultimately winning the championship.
