Preschoolers Keeping Healthy!

In Preschool this month, we have been experiencing and learning ways to keep ourselves healthy – this included exercising in preparation for our sports day events and learning about the importance of drinking water and eating fruits and vegetables. Grade 2 Visit Skybase at Providenciales Airport

The Grade 2 thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Skybase at Providenciales Airport. Captain Donny Click took us on a guided tour and showed us the hanger, a small plane and a helicopter.

Grade 1 say, "Enjoy Lots of Fruits and Vegetables!"

Grade 1 have been having a delicious time learning about different types of fruits and vegetables. This week we have all been busy getting ready for Fruity Friday on the 25th of April by making observational drawings of different fruits and vegetables.

Jk in the Jungle

This term, one of our topics is Jungle Animals. We created a jungle of our own in our classroom.

We enjoyed listening to stories and rhymes about jungle animals. We especially liked ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ by Giles Andreae & David Wojtowycz, and ‘The Animal Boogie’ by Debbie Harter.

Grade Four Visit Cheshire Halls

Before Spring Break, the Grade Four children enjoyed a trip to Cheshire Halls. Cheshire Halls is a 200 year-old ruin of a former cotton plantation. The National Trust has carefully preserved the site so that it stays as one of Providenciales’ key historic attractions.

The children had a fun and informative tour (and a free Birds of TCI calendar). They especially enjoyed smelling and tasting some of the fresh herbs which still grow on the estate. [Read more…]
